National Unity Platform

The National Unity Platform (NUP) is a Ugandan political party led by Bobi Wine, a prominent opposition figure and former pop star. Following the election, Wine was allegedly subjected to a raid on his home by police and military forces, and was reportedly taken to an unknown location by army helicopter. The NUP has stated that Wine was abducted. These events have escalated tensions in Uganda, with Museveni's son threatening Wine.
