Puerto de San Lorenzo

Puerto de San Lorenzo is a Spanish *ganadería*, or cattle ranch, that breeds bulls specifically for bullfighting. The organization is currently newsworthy due to a tragic incident in Málaga. Retired bullfighter Ricardo Ortiz was fatally gored by a bull from Puerto de San Lorenzo (and El Pilar) while assisting with unloading the animals at the Plaza de La Malagueta bullring. These bulls were intended for a bullfight scheduled to take place at the plaza. The incident occurred in the *corrales* (bullpens) of the bullring as Ortiz was involved in the *enchiqueramiento* (penning) of the bulls.
