Raw Farm

Raw Farm, a California-based company, is the largest raw milk distributor in the United States. It is currently newsworthy due to a multi-state E. coli O157:H7 outbreak linked to its raw cheddar cheese. The FDA has identified Raw Farm's cheese as the "likely source" of infections in California, Florida, and Texas, although no Raw Farm products have tested positive for E. coli. Nine people have been affected, with more than half being children under the age of five, and three hospitalizations reported. This incident follows previous concerns regarding Raw Farm, as it was also linked to a fatal outbreak of bird flu in cats. The current outbreak raises concerns about the safety of raw milk products and the potential health risks associated with their consumption, particularly for vulnerable populations like children.
