Red Command

The Red Command (Comando Vermelho or CV) is one of Brazil's two largest and most violent criminal organizations. Alongside the First Capital Command (PCC), it has been officially designated as a foreign terrorist organization by the United States. This designation, announced by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, occurred despite opposition from the Brazilian government, led by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. The US cited the extreme violence and extensive illicit networks of both CV and PCC, which reportedly extend beyond Brazil's borders. The designation is significant as it places these powerful criminal entities on a US government list typically reserved for groups posing a threat to international security, potentially impacting international cooperation and financial dealings related to these organizations.
