Operation Santa Claus (OSC) is an annual charitable fundraising initiative organized by the South China Morning Post (SCMP). It supports various community projects and provides aid to vulnerable groups in Hong Kong. OSC is currently newsworthy due to its recent fundraising campaign, which raised over HK$19 million, significantly exceeding its initial target of HK$11 million. A substantial portion of these funds is dedicated to assisting victims of the devastating Tai Po fire, which displaced thousands and resulted in numerous fatalities. The funds will also support 13 other charitable projects.
