This incident has led to diplomatic protests from China. Second, the TMPD is actively pursuing a group of robbers who stole approximately $2.7 million in cash from individuals in central Tokyo. A related pepper spray attack and robbery occurred at Haneda airport shortly after, potentially linked to the initial theft.
