Vencorex

Vencorex is a chemical plant located in Isère, near Grenoble, France. It is currently newsworthy due to its near-total shutdown since September 2024 and the subsequent rejection of a proposed revival plan. This plan, known as Exalia, involved former employees and an industrial partner, and was supported by the state, local authorities, and public banks, with €80 million in funding. However, the Commercial Court of Lyon rejected the plan, leading to disappointment and accusations of hindering French reindustrialization.
