Aksel Vilhelmson Johannesen

Aksel Vilhelmsson Johannesen is a Faroese lawyer and politician who had served as the Prime Minister of the Faroe Islands from 2022 to 2026 and from 2015 to 2019, currently serving as the Minister of Finance. He has been a member of the Løgting since 2011, as a member of the Social Democratic Party. Prior to his tenure as prime minister he was Minister of Health Affairs and Minister of Finance.
