Børge Brende

Børge Brende recently resigned from his position as President and CEO of the World Economic Forum (WEF). The WEF is an international organization known for hosting an annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, bringing together global leaders from business, government, and academia to discuss pressing global issues. Brende's departure follows revelations of his connections to the late Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender. An independent investigation reportedly preceded his resignation, which came after the disclosure of dinners, emails, and SMS communications between Brende and Epstein. Brende stated he was stepping down to allow the WEF to continue its work without distractions. The WEF also recently withdrew an invitation to Iran's foreign minister to attend the Davos summit amid protests and international pressure.
