Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla

Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla is a daughter of former South African President Jacob Zuma and a prominent political figure. She recently resigned from parliament amid allegations that she tricked 17 South African men and two Botswanan men into fighting for Russia in the war against Ukraine. She is accused of falsely promising them bodyguard training for her father's uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) party, when in reality they were sent to the frontlines. These accusations have led to a police investigation and multiple lawsuits. Her resignation from parliament occurred shortly before another of Zuma's daughters, Brumelda Zuma, was sworn in as an MP representing the MK party. The situation has drawn international attention, with the South African government in talks with Russia to secure the return of its citizens who were allegedly deceived. President Ramaphosa has thanked Putin for his assistance in releasing some of these individuals.
