Elisabeth Polaczy

Elisabeth Polaczy, operator of the Teufelsrad (Devil's Wheel) amusement ride at Munich's Oktoberfest, has implemented a proactive measure to combat upskirting. Following the discovery of tens of thousands of voyeuristic videos circulating online, many filmed on her ride and some generating significant revenue for those who posted them, Polaczy began distributing free cycling shorts to female riders. The Teufelsrad, one of the festival's oldest attractions, spins rapidly, making it a target for such invasive filming. This initiative aims to protect visitors from unwanted exposure and the subsequent exploitation of their privacy. The widespread circulation and viewing of these videos highlight a significant issue of online voyeurism and the need for operators to take preventative actions to ensure the safety and dignity of their patrons at public events like Oktoberfest.
