Gims

Gims, a 39-year-old Congolese singer and prominent figure in the French music scene, is currently facing legal troubles. Known for his signature dark glasses and significant success as a recording artist, including winning Male Artist of the Year at the Victoires de la Musique, Gims has been placed under investigation for aggravated money laundering. He was apprehended by customs officials at Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport on March 25th and subsequently charged on March 27th. The investigation appears to be linked to a €100 million luxury real estate project in Marrakech, Morocco, which Gims promoted. He has been released on bail under judicial supervision, with the requirement to pay a security deposit. Despite his legal issues, Gims recently made a surprise appearance at Theodora's show in Paris. He was also scheduled to perform at the Printemps de Bourges festival.
