Gims, whose real name is Gandhi Djuna, is a 39-year-old Congolese singer and rapper popular in the French-speaking world. He is also known to be an investor in real estate. He is currently newsworthy due to his arrest and subsequent formal investigation (mise en examen) in France for alleged organized money laundering. Gims was apprehended by customs officials at Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport in Paris on March 25, 2026, upon his arrival in the country.
