Maxim Katz

Maxim Katz is a Russian opposition figure who has recently commented on the effectiveness of Ukraine's energy strikes against Russia. He stated that these strikes are exposing vulnerabilities in Vladimir Putin's leadership by causing fuel shortages and leading to confrontations at gas stations across Russia. Katz suggests that while Moscow may still be able to supply its military, the civilian impact of these attacks is significant. His commentary highlights the growing pressure on the Russian government due to the ongoing conflict and its economic repercussions. Katz's perspective is newsworthy as it comes from a prominent voice within the Russian opposition, offering an external view on the war's impact within Russia itself and its potential to influence public sentiment or expose governmental weaknesses.
