Ross David Cutmore

Ross David Cutmore, a 40-year-old British national from Dunfermline, has been arrested in Ukraine on suspicion of collaborating with Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) to carry out assassinations. Cutmore, described in some reports as a military instructor, is accused of being recruited by the FSB to conduct targeted killings in Ukraine between 2024 and 2025. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) alleges that he obtained firearms and ammunition from the FSB for this purpose. He is also accused of passing on coordinates in May 2025. The Kyiv prosecutor’s office is handling the case. Cutmore's arrest is significant due to the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia, highlighting alleged Russian intelligence operations within Ukraine and the potential involvement of foreign nationals. If convicted, Cutmore could face up to 12 years in prison and confiscation of property.
