Vladimir Saldo

Vladimir Saldo is the Russia-installed regional governor of the Kherson region, a territory in southern Ukraine currently occupied by Russia. He is newsworthy due to recent accusations made by Russia, claiming Ukraine launched a deadly drone strike on a hotel and cafe in the village of Khorly within the occupied Kherson region on New Year's Day. According to Saldo, the alleged attack resulted in numerous casualties, with initial reports stating 27 deaths and later revised to 24, along with over 30 injuries.
