40% of flights grounded in Shanghai as long-lived Typhoon Dolphin moves north
Shanghai airports grounded nearly 40% of flights on Monday due to ongoing heavy rain following Typhoon Dolphin's landfall. Pudong airport experienced 642 cancellations, while Hongqiao airport had 301. The Shanghai government advised passengers to check with their airlines for updates. While some train services, including those to Hangzhou, began to resume on Monday morning, four metro lines within the city were completely halted because of the severe weather.
