Bird remains found in engine after man nearly sucked out of window on Ryanair flight

Bird remains were discovered in the engine of a Ryanair Boeing 737 NG following an incident where a passenger was partially sucked through a broken window. The event occurred shortly after takeoff from Greece in July. The US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating, stating that a piece of the engine broke off, shattering the window and causing a loss of cabin pressure. The flight, en route to Germany, was forced to make an emergency landing. The NTSB's preliminary report indicates that flight crew had reported four suspected bird strikes to the same engine in the preceding year.
