Kadugli

Kadugli is the capital of South Kordofan state in Sudan. It's newsworthy due to the intense conflict between the Sudanese military and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the region. Recently, the Sudanese military announced it had broken a years-long RSF siege of Kadugli, marking a significant advance. This follows a similar breakthrough in nearby Dilling, another key town in Kordofan. However, the broader context involves widespread violence, including deadly RSF drone attacks targeting civilians and aid workers in South Kordofan. These attacks are exacerbating a severe humanitarian crisis, with aid delivery hampered and famine conditions spreading in other regions like Darfur.
