Kordofan region

The Kordofan region in Sudan is a strategic area experiencing intensified conflict between the Sudanese government armed forces and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF). This escalation follows the RSF's seizure of control in Darfur in October 2025. Kordofan's importance lies in its potential to determine the overall outcome of Sudan's ongoing civil war.
