Namhkam township

Namhkam township is a location in Shan State, northeastern Myanmar, situated near the Chinese border. It recently became the site of a devastating incident when a massive blast occurred on Sunday, May 31, 2026, in Kaungtup village. The explosion originated from stored mining explosives.
