West Darfur

West Darfur, a region in Sudan, is currently a focal point of severe conflict and humanitarian challenges. The city of El-Geneina, located in West Darfur, is experiencing a dire humanitarian situation. Its university's medical faculty has been converted into shelters for displaced families. Residents face escalating costs for essential food and water, while aid efforts struggle to adequately address the needs of the large displaced population. The ongoing conflict and its devastating impact on civilians underscore the critical relevance of West Darfur as a site of immense suffering and international concern.
