White Nile province

White Nile province is a region in Sudan. It is newsworthy due to a recent drone strike in the village of Shukeiri. On Wednesday, an explosive-laden drone, attributed to the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), struck a secondary school and a healthcare center in the province. This attack resulted in the deaths of at least 17 people, the majority of whom were schoolgirls. Additionally, at least 10 people sustained injuries. The wounded were treated at Douiem hospital, the nearest major medical facility. This incident highlights the ongoing conflict in Sudan and its impact on civilian populations, particularly in regions like White Nile province, bringing attention to the vulnerability of schools and healthcare facilities in conflict zones.
