Hanwha

Hanwha is a large South Korean conglomerate involved in various industries. It is currently newsworthy due to its recent partnership with Indra, a Spanish technology company, to develop advanced artillery systems for the Spanish Armed Forces. This collaboration focuses on a megacontract worth 1.97 billion to produce new tracked armored vehicles for the Spanish Army. The agreement aims to transfer technology to Indra, enabling design modifications and export capabilities, with intellectual property rights held by the Spanish Ministry of Defence and Indra. The project is expected to create 500 direct and 2,000 indirect jobs in Spain. This partnership is considered strategically important for Spain's autonomy and for equipping its armed forces with cutting-edge artillery technology. The alliance also involves Escribano (EM&E).
