Maldives military

The Maldives military, also known as the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), is the armed forces of the Maldives. The organization has recently gained attention due to a tragic incident involving a perilous rescue mission. A local military diver lost their life while attempting to reach four Italian divers who had gone missing inside an underwater cave. The search for the Italian divers was suspended following the military diver's death. Subsequently, the bodies of the four Italian divers were located deep within the cave.
