Sookmyung Women’s University

Sookmyung Women's University, a private institution located in Seoul, South Korea, is currently featured in recent news for two distinct reasons. Firstly, Professor Lee Min-Yong from its School of Global Service is cited as an expert commenting on geopolitical issues concerning the Korean peninsula. His affiliation highlights the university's engagement with international relations and national security discourse. Secondly, a student from Sookmyung Women's University, Kim Min-ha, is quoted in an article discussing the declining alcohol consumption among young South Koreans. This anecdote illustrates a broader societal trend and the changing social habits of the student demographic. These mentions, one academic and one social, position Sookmyung Women's University as relevant in discussions about both global affairs and contemporary South Korean society.
