UDYCO (Unidad de Droga y Crimen Organizado) is a unit within the Spanish National Police. They are currently newsworthy due to a large-scale operation conducted in Ceuta, a Spanish autonomous city bordering Morocco. This operation, involving the 'red de redes del hachís' (network of hashish networks), led to the discovery of a sophisticated underground tunnel used for smuggling hashish from Morocco into Spain. The operation, carried out last Friday, resulted in 20 arrests in Ceuta. The tunnel itself is a complex, multi-level structure with rails, wagons, and pulley systems. The public prosecutor has requested pre-trial detention for 19 of the 20 individuals arrested.
