Heba Muraisi

Heba Muraisi, 31, is a Palestine Action activist who was imprisoned in the UK and participated in a prolonged hunger strike. Palestine Action is a group known for protesting against companies with ties to Israel, particularly those involved in defense manufacturing. Muraisi and other activists were arrested and charged with offenses related to breaking into or causing criminal damage to sites linked to an Israeli defense firm. She, along with several other Palestine Action-linked prisoners, initiated a hunger strike to protest their charges and demand bail. The hunger strike garnered significant attention, with concerns growing about the activists' health, including Muraisi's, who reached a critical stage after refusing food for over 70 days. The activists' demands included immediate bail, and the hunger strike ended after reports surfaced that Elbit Systems UK, an Israeli arms company subsidiary, did not win a UK government contract, which the activists saw as a concession. Muraisi was later released on bail along with other activists.
