Teuta Hoxha

Teuta Hoxha is a Palestine Action activist who was arrested and charged, along with others, for breaking into Elbit Systems UK in August 2024. Elbit Systems UK is an Israel-linked defence firm. Hoxha, along with several other activists, engaged in a hunger strike while imprisoned to demand bail and a fair trial. Her hunger strike lasted over 60 days, during which concerns grew about her health and well-being, with reports suggesting she needed hospitalization but was denied medical treatment. Due to failing health, Hoxha paused her hunger strike in early January 2026. Pro-Palestine activists have taken actions, such as targeting Labour Party offices, in solidarity with Hoxha and other hunger strikers, accusing the government of ignoring their demands. Hoxha, along with three other hunger strikers, was later granted bail in February 2026 and is now planning to sue the prisons for alleged mistreatment during their imprisonment.
