Kaja Kallas

Kaja Kallas is the European Union's foreign policy chief. She is currently newsworthy due to her leading role in the EU's decision to designate Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization. This decision, made in response to the IRGC's violent crackdown on anti-government protests in Iran, marks a significant escalation in the EU's stance towards the Iranian regime, aligning it with the US and Canada. Kallas emphasized that the EU's foreign ministers unanimously agreed on the designation, stating that "repression cannot go unanswered."
