Nicolas Zepeda

Nicolas Zepeda, a 35-year-old Chilean man, has been at the center of a high-profile legal case concerning the murder of his ex-girlfriend, Narumi Kurosaki. The case has garnered significant attention due to the lack of a body, direct evidence, or a confession. Despite this, Zepeda was initially convicted twice in 2022 and 2023 and sentenced to 28 years in prison. However, the 2023 verdict was overturned in 2025 due to a procedural error. Most recently, in March 2026, Zepeda was convicted again and sentenced to life imprisonment by the Rhône Assize Court. The court determined that he killed Kurosaki out of jealousy in December 2016, likely through suffocation, and then disposed of her body.
