Olivier Six

Olivier Six is a prominent figure associated with the Exalia project, an initiative seeking to revitalize the former Vencorex chemical plant in Isère, France. Vencorex, a chemical company, ceased operations, leaving its site slated for dismantling. Six and other stakeholders formed Exalia with the goal of restarting production of essential chemicals like soda, chlorine, and hydrochloric acid, aiming to restore French industrial capacity. Recently, the Exalia project faced a setback when the Lyon Economic Activities Tribunal rejected their proposal. Despite this, Six and project backers met at the Ministry of Economy, claiming to have found "concrete solutions" to move forward. The project is considered significant as it represents an effort to combat the decline of French industry and re-establish domestic chemical production capabilities.
