Petro Pochynok

Petro Pochynok, a 35-year-old Ukrainian national, was recently in the news in connection with a series of arson attacks targeting properties and a car linked to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. While two other individuals, Roman Lavrynovych and Stanislav Carpiu, were convicted of conspiring to carry out these attacks, Pochynok was ultimately cleared of the same charge. The attacks, which occurred in May 2025, involved damaging a former residence of the Prime Minister, an apartment building he had a share in, and destroying his former SUV. One of the convicted men, Lavrynovych, testified that he was threatened into setting fire to a car by a Russian-speaking individual using the pseudonym 'El Money'. Pochynok's involvement, though alleged by prosecution, did not result in a conviction, highlighting his acquittal in this high-profile case.
