Roman Lavrynovych

Roman Lavrynovych, a 22-year-old Ukrainian national, has been convicted by a British court for his involvement in a series of arson attacks targeting properties and a car linked to UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The attacks occurred in May 2025 and damaged the Prime Minister's former home, an apartment building he had a share in, and his former SUV. Lavrynovych was found guilty of conspiring to carry out these arson attacks and was also convicted of damaging two properties by fire, acting recklessly. Another Ukrainian man, Petro Pochynok, was cleared of the charges. Unverified reports suggest these attacks were part of a broader campaign of sabotage and disinformation orchestrated by Russian intelligence services. Lavrynovych reportedly admitted to setting fire to a car for £3,000, claiming he was threatened by a Russian-speaking individual using the pseudonym 'El Money'.
