Vanesa Soler

Vanesa Soler is the partner of Juanfran Pérez Llorca, the President of the Generalitat Valenciana. She is currently at the center of a political controversy surrounding her recent employment at the Diputación de Valencia. The Diputación, led by Vicente Mompó, hired Soler as a secretary of direction with a salary of €52,070 per year through a 'comisión de servicio,' a mechanism allowing a civil servant to temporarily occupy another public position. This occurred shortly after Pérez Llorca assumed his presidency. Opposition parties, PSPV and Compromís, are criticizing the hiring as a case of nepotism and a 'tailor-made' position, questioning the justification of 'urgent necessity' cited by the Diputación. Pérez Llorca defends the hiring, stating Soler is a civil servant since 2009, having passed an exam in Finestrat. The opposition is demanding explanations and transparency regarding the circumstances of her transfer and appointment.
