Münsterland

Münsterland is a region in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), Germany. It is newsworthy due to the recent arrival of a Castor transport containing nuclear waste at the interim storage facility in Ahaus, a town within Münsterland. The waste consists of approximately 300,000 fuel element spheres from a former research reactor in Jülich. The transport, which arrived in Ahaus on Wednesday, was the first of many planned shipments.
