Andi Sultan

Andi Sultan was among the ten individuals aboard an Indonesian Air Transport ATR 42-500 turboprop plane that went missing in South Sulawesi province. The aircraft, a fisheries surveillance plane, lost contact with air traffic control on Saturday, January 17, 2026, while en route to Makassar. The plane carried three employees from the fisheries ministry and at least seven crew members. Indonesian authorities initiated a search and rescue operation, and on Sunday, January 18, 2026, the wreckage of the plane was located on a fog-covered mountain slope. The body of one of the ten people on board, presumably including Andi Sultan, has been recovered.
