Who is India’s new education minister Pralhad Joshi?
Pralhad Joshi has been appointed as India's new minister of education following the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan amidst protests over an exam leak scandal. Joshi, a close associate of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, also currently serves as minister for new and renewable energy and consumer affairs, food and public distribution. He has been a member of Modi's cabinet since 2019 and has a long political career, previously serving as BJP president for Karnataka and as a Member of Parliament since 2004.
