Colmenar Viejo

Colmenar Viejo, located near Tres Cantos in the Community of Madrid, is currently experiencing infrastructure developments. Specifically, the M-607 highway, which connects Colmenar Viejo and Tres Cantos, is undergoing expansion to include a third lane. A key feature of this project is the construction of a 137-meter ecoduct, a 'green highway' designed to prevent animal crossings and reduce wildlife collisions. This ecoduct, planted with native species like encinas and retamas, highlights a commitment to environmental considerations within infrastructure projects. The first two kilometers of the expanded highway are expected to open soon.
