SEPLA is a Spanish flight crew union, representing pilots and other flight personnel. It's newsworthy due to its involvement in negotiating a voluntary redundancy agreement (ERE) with Iberia, the Spanish airline. Recently, SEPLA, along with other unions (SITCPLA, STAVLA, Candidatura Independiente, UGT vuelo, CCOO vuelo, CCOO, UGT, and ASETMA), reached an agreement with Iberia regarding an ERE affecting up to 996 employees, representing under 10% of Iberia's workforce. The agreement includes terms for pre-retirement (80% of gross salary) and severance pay (35 days per year worked for those under 60).
