Álora

Álora is a town in Spain, currently newsworthy due to ongoing construction work on the AVE (high-speed train) line between Madrid and Málaga. These works are causing significant disruptions to travel, particularly during the busy Semana Santa (Holy Week) period. The construction, described by the Minister of Transport as complex and extensive, has led to partial closures of the AVE line. As a result, Renfe, the Spanish national railway company, has been forced to implement alternative travel arrangements, including a combination of train travel to Antequera and bus transport to Málaga.
