Alstom

Alstom, a French multinational company focused on rail transport, is currently in the news for several key developments. Firstly, Martin Sion is set to succeed Henri Poupart-Lafarge as the company's CEO. Sion, formerly of ArianeGroup and with extensive experience at Safran, is recognized for his expertise in large industrial chains. Secondly, Alstom has secured a significant €915 million contract to deliver the first metro line in Belgrade, Serbia. This turnkey project includes 32 driverless trains, signaling, telecommunications, power supply, tracks, platform screen doors, depot equipment, a central control center, and cybersecurity systems.
